Work Experience
· Mar, 2025 – Jan, 2026, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. Al-Quds University, Palestine
I measured the impact of teachers' advanced degrees on student performance in Palestine, I was responsible for the entire data cycle. This directly prepares me for the core tasks of a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. My experience includes designing research frameworks, developing data collection tools, and performing rigorous statistical analysis to assess program effectiveness. I am adept at translating complex data into clear, actionable reports and evidence-based recommendations for stakeholders, ensuring that findings directly inform strategic decision-making and program improvement. Previously, I completed a study on the impact of family size on domestic violence in Palestine (under journal review).
· Mar, 2025 – Aug, 2025, Intern (remote), Education Cannot Wait-UNICEF, Switzerland
Managed grants data by entering, organizing, and standardizing information in the ECW grants database. I tracked grantee reports, reviewed their financial and narrative submissions for completeness and compliance with UNICEF standards, and uploaded approved documents; ensuring everything was accurate and accessible. I also supported the ECW knowledge hub by organizing resources to improve institutional learning and collaborated with the team to streamline grant-naming conventions and database integrity.
· Mar, 2023 – Mar, 2025, Research assistant. Kobe University, Japan
I worked on two academic papers examining the intersection of conflict, climate change, and agricultural production in Palestine: Olive Oil Under Fire: The Consequences of Conflict on Agricultural Production in Palestine and Rising Temperatures, Falling Yields: The Effect of Climate Shocks on Olive Oil Production in Palestine. My work involved data collection, cleaning, and econometric analysis, as well as contributing to the drafting and revision of the manuscripts.
· Apr, 2022 – Apr, 2024, Research assistant. Al-Quds University, Palestine
I contributed to two significant research projects focused on education and social issues in Palestine. The first project investigated female labor force participation across the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem. In this capacity, I worked collaboratively to collect and analyze data, ultimately co-authoring a research paper that explored the underlying factors influencing participation rates. The second project examined the impact of climate change on sectoral labor reallocation in Palestine. My role involved collecting and analyzing data, applying rigorous methodologies, and supporting the writing and preparation of the final manuscript.
· Aug, 2022 – Sept, 2022, Intern, Ministry of Education and Sports, Lao PDR, Vientiane
I supported the Department of Planning in their efforts to enhance educational policies and programs aimed at improving the quality of education in Laos.
